Chris Briggs, Dining Services Director
“I’m here to serve, and not just food. Although my days do include meal planning, menu development, inventory, keeping the kitchen spotless and training our culinary personnel, the best part of my job is being able to interact with residents. Each person has a different background and is full of knowledge and unique experiences. I enjoy getting to know them all on a personal basis and, as a chef, I feel good knowing that my food truly makes a difference in their day. I take pride, as does the entire culinary team, in knowing that residents make a choice to live here.”

“I love working in such a friendly community that sincerely welcomes everyone and appreciates each individual’s personality. The office staff is experienced and works as a team to help in all areas of the community, meaning things often get very busy. Some might find juggling a lot of tasks — which I do every day — overwhelming, but I’m able to take it in stride by staying organized. I keep a log of every incoming request using great software tools, and set alarms in my calendar in advance of deadlines to make sure nothing is ever forgotten. If something is important to one of our residents or their family, it’s equally important to me.”
